From Struggles to Strength: A Journey of Resilience

Growing up in the foster care system, I experienced the pain of rejection and the harsh reality of life on the streets. At a very young age, I met a much older man and, searching for stability, entered into marriage. Tragically, he passed away from a heroin overdose. Faced with immense adversity, I made a life-changing decision: to use this turning point as an opportunity to change my path. Through sheer determination, I pursued education and worked relentlessly to pull myself off the streets. My journey has been shaped by challenges, but it is a testament to the power of resilience and the ability to rewrite one's story.
